"THE OLD GRAY MARE"

My eyes can't see; my ears can't hear.
And soon I'll be adding another year!
My body bulges have started to slip;
I am now broader in the hip.
Gray hairs are quickly moving in.
Father Time is beginning to win.
I'm glad my heart still faithfully beats inside my breast
Because I have much to do before I can rest!
